Challenge Yourself to Create Content for Yourself

I just finished a 30-Day Creator Challenge to create a piece of content every day for 30 straight days. Woohoo!

I chose to write a blog post every day for 30 days, It wasn’t easy to come up with topics every day and make time to write the posts, and I didn’t suddenly experience an explosion in visitors to this website. But that’s OK. I undertook this challenge with no lofty goals in mind other than to train myself to get into the habit of creating content for myself and my business. And I’m so glad that I did.

As an independent public relations practitioner and freelance writer, I spend the majority of my time creating for my clients. That’s great, because that is what I love to do. However, it’s important to pay attention to your own business needs, as well as to do things to nurture your creativity. Participating in this challenge helped me do that. I probably won’t continue to post every day, but I’ll definitely be posting more regularly.

If you have trouble creating content for yourself, I’d recommend giving a challenge like this a try.
